In need of a side dish for your next braai? Or in need of a hearty, tummy filling dish for the family? This potato and mushroom bake is simple and a crowd pleaser!
3-4 medium potatoes
1 packet cream of mushroom soup
Mixed dried herbs (optional)
Wash the potatoes and mushrooms and slice into thin slices.
Layer the thinly sliced potatoes and mushrooms in an oven proof dish. First a layer of potatoes, then a layer of mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper after each layer. End with a layer of potatoes.
Mix the packet of soup with the 850 ml of milk and pour over the layered potatoes and mushrooms.
Season with mixed dried herbs and bake for 40-45 minutes until the potatoes are soft and golden.
